Retail sales for the last album from American music legend Johnny Cash have soared since the singer's death last Friday (September 12). According to new SoundScan tracking of music store sales, Cash's recent Grammy-winning CD, the Man Comes Around, jumped 72 positions on the sales charts to reach Number 22 this week, and has now sold close to 600,000 copies, racking up Cash's most impressive sales figures in decades. Meanwhile, Cash's greatest hits package, the Essential Johnny Cash, has started to sell again and has re-entered the charts.
